This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Newark is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Newark is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New Jersey's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I ordered some ramen, which looked and smelled like it had been sitting out for a long time. The taste was really strange. The waitress was very kind in resolving the issue. The dumplings are probably frozen.

Rice was overcooked and bland. Broccoli was just a massive chunk of steamed broccoli plopped onto the plate. Chicken was poured straight from a freezer bag into a fryer and tossed in sauce. Payment required up front which may be normal for airport restaurants but definitely didn't allow for appropriate tipping. Watched one of the workers eating chicken in plain view while still working the kitchen. Wish I'd seen the reviews and tried any other restaurant during my layover here. Ridiculously overpriced for food that was worse than a fast food Asian restaurant.

Not sure why there's so many terrible reviews. We were seated quickly, given water and checked on multiple times before we ordered. Tried the pork and kimchi dumplings (tasted great) and the Korean fried chicken rice (also great). They do make you pay ahead of receiving food which is the only thing I donβt like because they make you put in the tip before you know if service is good. They let you pick the percent though unlike some other places that automatically charge 18%.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. It is expensive and the food is terrible. I was told by the chef that this disgusting broccoli was normal and βhow it comesβ. I suspect that using questionable ingredients is not the only thing wrong with this place. The Korean fried chicken was clearly frozen from a bag and drenched in some generic sauce. EDIT: The music is incredibly loud and sounds like license free music intended to dissuade customers from lingering. Go to the Wendyβs.

What could go wrong if you order an Asian salad with tofu? Wrong, this is the worst salad I have ever had. I should have checked the review before coming to this place. I wasn't properly greeted at all when the server delievered the food. I wish I can give them zero star. This salad costs $30.14 including tip, but tastes horrible.
